  • Hi all, I am the lad sitting holding the golden goose story book. I was Steve Self then and now Steve Gunn. Thanks for posting the pic as I have no pics of myself at that age now.
    Regards

  • Hello Steve,

Did you got to Stanmer after Coldean ? I remember the name of Steve Self & have posted a class pic on the Stanmer School pages which I have a hunch you may be in ?

I left Coldean in summer 1965

  • Hi Rob, I went up to Patcham Fawcett after Coldean. I have been reading about how it’s gone now. I moved away from Brighton in 69 joined the RAF. I now live in North Yorkshire and am retired. We lived in Hawkhurst Rd, Coldean. Nice to see your reply. cheers

  • Hi Steve, no worries and my mistake. I guess we were probably at Coldean School around the same time. I lived in Coldean Lane and my Mum still does. We moved there in 1959 and I went to nursery school at Coldean with Mrs Ayling, then went to a primary school until 1965 when I went to Stanmer. All the best

  • Hi Rob. Thanks, my memory gets hazy as to dates nowadays. My wife loved seeing me as the storyteller in the play pic, as I have few pics of myself from those days. I carried a torch for June (Tugwell) many years until I joined the RAF in 69. Once people move away its easy to lose contact. When I returned to Brighton after the RAF I was married to my first wife and June was also taken. Now live North Yorkshire and retired a year now. I still come down to see my brother Andy and look across the valley to where Patcham Fawcett was.

  • I’m the girl in the front row you can’t name!
I was Janice Stoneham and lived in Hawkhurst Road with my older brother Roy.
