Class photos c1960s

I attended St Luke’s School from 1959-1966 before going to Patcham Fawcett Secondary School for one year and after that Queen’s Park Secondary School from 1967-1971. Until 1977 I lived at 159 Hartington Road with my parents. At the age of 22 I left England to live in Canada were I am still living today in Brampton, Ontario.

If you knew me, or went to these schools during this time period I would love to hear from you. If you can identify yourself or anyone else, please leave a comment below.

  • Hi Rodney, I remember you so well! I recall we were great mates until I left the UK to come to Australia with my family in 1971. I still laugh fondly when I recall the laughs we used to have! Best regards.

  • Hello Rodney, I wasn’t in your class at St Luke’s but lived nearby and remember playing together as kids and coming round to your house and watching television. All the best.

  • I remember you Rod, not sure I was a mate but ironically I also departed the homeland some 18 years ago for Canada where I now live and work in Orangeville, Ontario.

  • Hello Rodney I do remember you and I am in the front row of the photo of 1A with you. It’s nice to know where people have ended up. Hope life has treated you well. St Luke’s has a “Past Pupil’s Reunion” every year. This year it is on Friday 5th July and it’s nice to take a look and the old place especially as a much taller adult. The children always seem to be much more self confident than we seemed to be at that age, but perhaps that’s just the passage of time. Bye for now.

  • Hi Rodney I went to St Luke’s from 1956 to 1963, happy days. We lived at 108 Hartington Road which is the second house up from Ryde Road, until 1965. Maybe you knew the Walker sisters from Totland Road who went to St Luke’s, all younger than me. My grandparents lived in Sandown Road and cousins in Ryde Road, and I really missed Brighton when we moved away.
