Tamplins Price List Sept 1953

1953 was the year of the Watney Combe Reid acquisition, hence the listing of some Watney beers, including the infamous  Red Barrel.

  • Compared to today’s wonderful selection of real ales, these were absolute rubbish. Watney’s Red Barrel was the reason for the formation of CAMRA. I used to drink mainly Brown and Mild. In those days we considered this to be OK!
