A great place to dream

By Anne Way, Brighton resident

I've always lived in Brighton and I was born here. The beach reminds me of my childhood and the times spent there. I can't imagine not living by the sea, and have wondered what I'd do if there was no beach on my doorstep.

My best time to go to the beach is at the end of summer/start of autumn and just sit and watch the sea. I love it most when it's very rough. It really does put things into perspective as it's a great place to think and sort your head out. It's also a great place to dream.

I don't enjoy it so much when it's packed with tourists but it's great to swim about six in the evening when they've gone home.
