  • I remember a printers called Eagle Press on the opposite side of the road to the gasometer.

  • Does anybody know the history of the red brick houses at the lower part of Sackville Road? Each of the houses has a different sculpture on them. My house has got a dragon on the front of the house.

  • I have just found out the four red brick buildings at the bottom of Sackville Road (one of which I live in), were built in 1880 as homes for the nurses for Hove General Hospital.

  • It is hard to imagine that huge ugly gasometer behind Church Road! I think it was there until quite recently, but am I dreaming? Not that Tesco’s looks much nicer, not a patch on the library anyway!
