Photos of the carvings

We believe that these photos show the carvings that were placed in the old Churchill Square shopping centre in the 1960s. The artist (in foreground of first picture) built the sculptures on the groyne near the Palace Pier before moving them to Churchill Square.

  • I don’t recall these at all. I never liked the large sculpture at all. These are better. Perhaps its a question of scale. A bit like organic Aztec.
