  • According to the 1901 census, my grandfather, Alexander Neill and his elder brother, Robert Neill, were boarders at Osborne Villas, (rooms over stables of the Sussex Hotel, Hove) and their occupation was given as coachmen. I wondered if anyone could give me any more information; about the hotel, its boarders at that time etc. Thank you.

  • This photo is not the Sussex at the bottom of Osborne Villas, Hove. It is in Brighton near East Street area. I have lived in Osborne Villas for over 23 years. But I AM Looking for more information about my road. I know it was built in the 1850s by Irish builders etc. but would like to know who lived in the houses?

  • I started working there in ’89, I got to move-in and live above the pub along with some other staff, sometime in 1990, after a change of management, stayed til ’94. The front of the pub is on East street, where there’s a little square, great times.
