  • I am in the process of organising for my Church (St Marys at Washington) a ringing outing. I wondered if you could possibly give me the name and number of the Tower Captain at St Peter’s Church in Brighton? Failing that, a contact number of anybody who would possibly know? I look forward to hearing from you.

  • I am very interested in St Peter’s Church and my grandfather, Harold Leslie Leaney, was born in December 1890. From his birth certificate it said born in the sub-district of St Peter’s. I wonder if he was christened at this church?

  • Wow, this picture is great! The church looks very much different today. Having been born and bred in Brighton it is wonderful to see a very different view of the church that is so close to home.

  • My great great grandfather George Winstanley Wallis was a clergyman at this church in the 1860s. What a shame for it to be demolished, It should be listed and preserved.
