During the early 1950s St Barts was my sanctuary where I sought refuge whenever in trouble. The sheer majesty of the building, the intoxicating incense, the spiritual power of the paintings, tapestry, marble and relics all inspired me to remember and recall my experience as a choirboy in such esteemed surrounds where my faith and resolve were given life.
