c) ST GEORGE’S PLACE: A terrace of fifteen three- and four-storey bow-fronted houses, all listed buildings and probably built in yellow brick by Wilds and Busby in the 1820s. Only no.1 retains its ironwork balcony and none now have verandahs. At the rear is St George’s Mews, a narrow roadway which retains its setts and has a few old cottages. {44}
