West Hill is the name given to the eastern part of Church Hill rising westwards from Brighton Station, Queen’s Road and the central valley. It was developed in the 1840s and ’50s with ‘working-class’ and ‘middle-class’ terraced housing near the station, and in the 1870s with large villa residences in the grounds of the former workhouse {83}. Designated a conservation area in 1977, the streets of main interest are detailed below, but see also “Dyke Road” and “Queen’s Road“; also “Railways – Brighton Station“, which was added to the conservation area in 1988
j) TERMINUS ROAD: The red-brick nos.20-23 have balconies and Regency-style doorways, and are included on the borough council’s local list.

I lived at no 31 Terminus Road Brighton for 15 years with my mum and two sisters. It was a five bed house. It’s a shame this house was pulled down in I think the early 90s. It was a old house and I have written essays about the house at the time and what it was like to live there. Is there any pictures out there of these houses on the hill at that time. New houses and flats are there now in their place thanks for reading.
