I found Barry Planks photo of Miss Budd’s class interesting. I attended Hertford Road from 1950-1956. Unfortunately I cannot recall Barry, but I hope that he and others may find the attached picture of interest.
If my date is inaccurate, no doubt my old classmate Bob Niblett, with whom I am still in touch, will put me right.

I wonder if the Mrs. Haffenden shown here was related to Miss Haffenden at Ditchling Road Infants School? Just a passing thought.
Derek, would it be possible to add this photo to the archive of school photos on the Hertford’s website? We have another photo of this school year already on there judging by the background.
I had Miss Haffenden as my Infant Teacher in 1941 at Ditchling Road Infants School and I thought she was elderly. Mrs Haffenden in the photo is very young and I wonder if she is the same women.
